CARRBORO -- "Michael Burch was 12-years-old when he heard the Beatles for the first time. After seeing the Fab Four perform in 1964 on the 'Ed Sullivan Show,' the young Burch knew his life would never be the same.
While the popularity of items in the collectibles market depends largely on musical taste, dealers agree that the most valuable items are those that are unique and genuine.
What's hot in the collectibles market right now is hard-to-find collectible rock, hard-to-find collectible jazz," Burch said. "[Also], there's a rise in people wanting authentic, genuine, original autographs, particularly artists from the sixties, fifties."
